Jo and Jason - San Francisco City Hall Civil Ceremony, San Francisco, CA

Although Jo and Jason will be celebrating their "real" wedding later this month, they opted to have a much smaller civil ceremony beforehand with just their families present at city hall. Let me just say that I LOVED photographing this day! Not having all of the fanfare such as the flowers, the toasts, and the DJ, this day really focused on quite simply, the union of two people who love each other. Don't get me wrong though, I love full blown weddings also! But the simplicity of this day was really touching for me. Starting with the anticipation of getting their "number" called to see the judge, to the enjoyment of a simple take out lunch to soak in the day, and finally to the laughter heard at their family tea ceremony, I feel truly blessed to have been there. Congrats Jo and Jason!

Fred and Nga - Nestldown Wedding, Los Gatos, CA

With sunny skies the entire day, Fred and Nga's wedding at Nestldown was absolutely gorgeous! I was honored to be their photographer having known the couple for quite some time. We actually did a few engagement sessions beforehand which helped them to be completely comfortable in front of the camera on the big day. After the wedding at Nestldown, we managed to take a few shots in downtown Los Gatos before heading to Mayflower restaurant in Milpitas for their tea ceremony and reception. Even though their day started before 6AM and ended close to midnight, it was all smiles and laughter the whole time!

Special thanks to Dennis Hu for capturing the above image and for second shooting with me the whole day!

While in downtown Los Gatos, we stumbled upon this school bus in front of the high school whose driver happened to be there. Seeing our lovely bridal party, he was more than happy to let us use it for a few shots! Thanks Mr. Bus Driver!

Playground Family Session - San Jose Family Portraits

I had such a great time photographing this family, who wanted some shots before their Baby #2 arrived. You know how the attention span of kids can last oh...say 30 seconds?... and then they move on to something else? That's pretty much what this family session was all about :) There were so many activities to do in the playground that Baby S just had to try everything! And after 30 seconds, she'd move on to the next thing! Good thing I had my running shoes on! Super cool parents with a super cool baby equals a blast down at the local park!

Above - I love this picture! She was sliding down the plastic slide, building up all this static electricity on the way down!
